Only 7 weeks to go...


Here is one of the loveliest parts of our local river as it is now...




And here is how it will look a few weeks into the season!

To say opening day is being looked forward to would be something of an understatement.

  3. ... and I can't wait! I've noticed the online forums coming to life over the last couple of weeks like a grizzly waking from a long hibernation.

    Roll on Easter! Flies are tied, lines, leaders and tippets are renewed, and a day ticket on the Derbyshire Wye is in the diary for late April. Closer to home the water levels on the Hertfordshire chalk have improved greatly.

    Love the photos, particular the spring meadow. It quite lifts the spirits after the long, grey months of waiting.
